Willy Kinomugabe, 21 years old, a resident of Buziga Munyonyo was on Saturday found dead in a swimming pool in a recreation centre known as Ssebo Green Park located in Munyonyo where he had gone for swimming with his younger brother.
He has been a first year student at ISBAT University offering a Bachelors of Science in Networking and Cyber Security. He has been an athlete majoring in swimming since childhood.
His father, Nyabesiza Gerevazio put the blame to the recreation centre saying that the food they gave to his son was poisoned as many had a bad heart towards his son’s success. He added that his son had been good at swimming since childhood and that he had all the skills that could help him to avoid drowning. He also said that he was used to this particular swimming pool as he knew all the loopholes and he couldn’t just drown like that.
We urge all of you to always be careful in swimming pools because many death cases have been registered in a very short period of time. May the soul of the deceased rest in eternal peace.
