Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) is mourning the loss of its staff member, Mr. Achilles Ahimbisibwe.
According to the UMU announcement, the tragedy occurred yesterday February 1 when Achilles was pronounced dead.
“We announce the untimely death of our Staff Mr. Achilles Ahimbisibwe which has occurred today. Mr. Achilles Ahimbisibwe is the former Dean of the faculty of Built Environment— @besa_FoBE at our Main Campus, Nkozi and also a former member of the sports committee,” UMU tweeted.
Details regarding the cause of death are still sketchy as UMU community holds on in this trying moment.
Burial arrangements and other proceedings are yet to be communicated.
At the time of demise, Mr. Ahimbisibwe was a staunch supporter of UMU basketball team – UMU Flames.
