On Friday evening, the plot was at the MUBS Basketball court as the first ever 3D Outdoor Cinema crowned off a rather long Bazaar at the Nakawa based university. After having a glitch in this year’s bazaar, the Guild office decided to push an extra week for the two week long bazaar to enable traders to gain as much from this year’s bazaar as possible.
To spice up the bazaar, the guild decided to introduce 3D Outdoor Cinema that would usher in mainly freshers to the MUBS system and also tone down off some stress.
‘The main essence of us the guild coming up with this new initiative of the 3D outdoor cinema was to mainly make MUBS not only a corporate & business University but also exciting & fun packed.
Let students feel attached to the university not only in academics but also in entertainment & this outdoor cinema is going to be a monthly initiative,” Noted Ahereza Eria MUBS Guild Prime Minister.
The plot kicked off at about 8:30pm with blockbuster the “Jungle Book” showing and the students were armed with their 3D glasses to experience the feel of a cinema. For any first timer, the outdoor cinema didn’t really attract many numbers but had a sizeable crowd and by the time the second movie started, the court was nearly filled.
A few students told Campus Bee what they thought about the idea;
“I’ve loved the 3D experience although I had already watched the movie, I didn’t mind watching it again when I heard that it will be in 3D,” Liz Alupo a Fresher exclaimed.
“I wanted to test the real feel of an outdoor cinema so I had to attend this one. I loved it and I think the guild should do this more often,” noted a fresher.
“There is this fresher I wanted to bless, so I brought her here to show my blessser levels. I really hope she loved it because that will be my first impression,” a second year student told Campus Bee.
By the end of the movies, students were left impressed by the idea and vowed to support the next editions.
