Thousands of Kyambogo University students flocked the Banda based campus to attend this year’s freshers’ ball that happened last Friday. The event kicked off as early as 6PM with music and by 7.30 PM, performances by some of Kyambogo’s upcoming artistes were underway.
Both Kyambogo freshers and continuing students filled the venue to the brim by 9.30 PM, who were ready for the night’s performances from several artistes around town. Local singer Lil Pazzo warmed up the bored crowd when he opened up performances for mainstream artists- performing his smash hit ‘Genda Ogule Emotoka’, Birevu and a few other songs.
More artists including Ykee Benda, Darxx Kartel, Geosteady, Gravity Omutujju delivered powerful performances for the night at the CBS Radio powered freshers’ ball. Jose Chameleone closed the performances as the biggest singer of the night whose performance was short lived as compared to other singers that performed before him. The event also featured dance competitions where lucky winners walked away with CBS umbrellas and caps.
With JJ Sound’s equipment, the event was generally massive despite the poor lighting systems on stage. The lighting did not cover all parts of the stage in addition to blacking out several times in the middle of performances. This ball was sponsored by Campus Bee, CBS Radio and TSA Security.
