Like we have been reporting earlier, Makerere University is hours away to graduating the 2018 cohort in its 68th graduation ceremony scheduled to kick off tomorrow Tuesday 16th January at the University’s main campus based in Wandegeya and will continue until Friday 19th January.
In a tweet posted by the University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Barnabas Nawangwe, the architecture professor took the opportunity to congratulate the graduands as well as acknowledging that this year has registered the highest number of graduates in a single congregation in Makerere University’s history.
“From 16th to 19th January 2018, Makerere University will graduate close to 14,000 students. This is the largest number of students graduating at one congregation in the history of MAK” Nawangwe tweeted.
Among the 14,000 graduates expected include students from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) that are set to graduate on Thursday 18th January despite early allegations that they won’t be able to graduate.
I congratulate all the graduands and their parents/sponsors. You are the top brains of our country and a lot is expected of you. Put God first and always hold yourself in esteem and you shall surely succeed. Conratulations” He added.
