The electoral commission for Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) Kyambogo University Chapter yesterday hosted a debate where all the three party flag bearer aspirants discussed what they intend to do for their voters.
The debate was moderated by NBS TV’s Samson Kasumba Friday afternoon at the University Students’ Center. The debate involved exchange of ideas and answering questions mainly by the three flag bearer aspirants of German Amanya (Bachelor in Accounting and Finance, year two), Wanyama Samwel Yitiko (Bachelor in Micro Finance, year two), and Baker Akatuyamba (Bachelor of Arts with Education, year two).
While escorted by their supporters, the three aspirants arrived at the students’ center in excitement as they looked forward to discussing their major components of their respective manifestos.
The three candidates fired out their best plans according to their manifestos and it will be the voters’ decision to decide who becomes the next flag bearer for FDC in the highly anticipated Guild elections slated for this semester. The interesting part of the debate was when the candidates were asked to ask each other questions, something that brought life and fun to the debate.
Information coming in from the Kyambogo FDC Chapter indicates that the party’s primary elections are set to be held next Monday 12th Feb at the student’s center. The winner will represent FDC as a party in the Guild elections later on this semester.
