More sad news has hit the education fraternity as a fresh graduate from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) passes on following a serious illness.
The deceased has been identified as Robert Mbata, a Tanzanian by nationality who died yesterday morning of blood cancer just few weeks after he had come from India for treatment.
According to information obtained from his close people, Mbata was doing great on Saturday but the condition changed on Sunday and he was rushed to the hospital at 2pm.
The bad condition worsened and he was put on oxygen after which he lost his precious life yesterday morning at around 7am.
More details indicate that Mbata graduated last year after pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management at the Nakawa-based University.
Mbata becomes the third MUBS student to pass in a period of less than two weeks. It should be recalled that Shafra Akatusasira who was also pursuing Procurement at the same university was knocked dead by a speeding trailer when she was coming back from her from classes.
Another MUBS fallen student happens to be Ibrahim Balabyeki a final year student of Bachelors of Science in Accounting (BSA) who also died recently in a mosque, as he was set to complete campus in May next year.
Rest in peace to all the three young lives.
