The Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe has revealed that Joadah Consult – an Engineering Firm committed close to Shs 24M on the education of Henry Ssuubi Kiyimba, the metallic suitcase fresher.

Commenting on a post by UBC’s Cedric Ndilima who tweeted a photo of himself hanging out with Henry Ssuubi, the Vice Chancellor revealed that some weeks back, the university entered an MoU with the Engineering Firm to sort the fresher’s tuition in his new Engineering Course.

“3 weeks ago, I appended my signature on the MOU between Makerere University, Joadah Consult, and Ssuubi. Joadah Consult is going to spend approximately UGX 23,688,314 on Ssuubi’s education through out his 4 year Engineering programme, and other opportunities with the company.” Nawangwe tweeted.

Ssuubi had been initially admitted on government sponsorship to study education but the firm appealed to the university management to allow him change courses to Engineering, his dream course and pledged to sort his tuition bill when they do so.
