We have exclusively learnt why youthful TV presenter/singer Crysto Panda failed to secure the Sanyu FM job that attracted several urban young folks who can’t wait to work for one of Uganda’s oldest radio stations.
According to an insider who preferred to remain anonymous, Panda’s English wasn’t so good for the Sanyu FM audience.
“The judges felt his English isn’t fit for Sanyu FM audience” an insider disclosed.
To make matters worse, Panda missed a meeting with contestants while travelling around the country in his upcountry media tour promoting his newest release “Kyoyina Omanya” with Sheebah.
Panda was supposed to meet up with the top twenty contestants but his ambitions for music deterred him from pushing further for the job.
Following the resignation of Sanyu FM’s veteran presenters, the station launched a competition dubbed Hot Mic where the winner will be crowned and hired. There are now only 10 contestants left among which include former Urban TV presenters Timothy Code and Kyle, among 8 others.
The grand finale of the competition commences tomorrow where the ultimate Hot Mic Star will be crowned.
