As Kyambogo University first year students warm up to kick off on campus lectures, the university management has announced that they will hold their freshers’ orientation virtually this year following the outbreak of COVID-19.
According to information obtained from the university’s social media platforms, the orientation will be live on their Facebook page as well as their YouTube channel.
The two-day virtual orientation ceremony will be held on Monday 29th and 31st March 2021 starting from 10am. The university also plans to upload orientation videos on their website for those who can’t make it on the mentioned dates and freshers are encouraged to stream the activity and ask questions where necessary.
“This year we shall have a virtual orientation, which will be live on our Facebook: @KyambogoUniveristyOfficial and YouTube: Kyambogo University. Please inform others not to miss this virtual orientation.” A statement on Kyambogo University twitter account reads.
It should be recalled that Kyambogo university freshers will kick off face to face studies on 10th April 2021. Currently, continuing studies are warming up for end of semester exams, after which they will head back home for virtual classes.
