A social media user on Twitter who has been identified as Agnes Atwiine (@Aghieatwyne1) has bowed to pressure that was mounting over her allegations against NBS TV personality, Douglas Lwanga.
Moments after she posted on her account accusing Mr Lwanga for asking for nudes from her in exchange for a job opportunity, a one Ashabahebwa Eugene (@@eashabahebwa) who alleges to be Douglas Lwanga’s Lawyer, warned Agnes over what he described as “false libelous statements”
“Dear Madam, it has come to my attention that you have made statements about my client (Douglas Lwanga) that are both false and misleading, these statements constitute libel since they defame my client’s reputation, I demand that you immediately delete, cease and desist from making this false libelous statement that is not limited to this tweet” Ashabahebwa responded to Agnes’ tweet.
“Please be advised that unless you immediately delete, cease and desist from making these libelous statements I will have no choice but to take the appropriate legal steps to protect my client’s reputation, including seeking relief in a court of law for monetary damage” he added in a tweet thread.
Ms Atwiine has since deleted the tweet in which she made the very sensitive allegations.
The question that still remains unclear is whether the allegations slapped by this lady against Douglas Lwanga were intended or not.
In an instagram post published today by Mr Lwanga moments after the allegations spread out on social media, the Tv personality didn’t seem bothered as he appeared to be calm and doing just fine in a video.
