I’m pretty sure we’re all astonished to have made it this far into this persistent pandemic that has taken us for more laps both financially and mentally than a final year retake. This week however, we take a look at some of the brave and innovative ways campusers have derived to survive the lurking void caused by Covid-19 starting with a one Millie Jackson Katusiime.
Millie Jackson is a second year Student of Makerere University pursing a Degree in Social Sciences who has broken the cliché and taken a chance on herself by creating pieces of art that are not only astonishing to the eye but are also purposeful
While speaking to the genius behind the art, our reporter learned that every piece Millie makes is forged from an original concept and is tirelessly tailored to the customers’ perfection. In simple terms, they’re really good. Check them out!!! (pictures attached below)
Mats by Millie (Instagram username), the soon to be multi-franchise focuses on fabrication of mats and carpets but to her, it’s more than just that, it’s a way of life. Millie prides herself on her continued hard and smart work that has allowed her to compete favorably in an overly crowded and flooded market.
Jackson, having convinced our reporter to buy one, concluded by encouraging her fellow youth out their watching the news every night hopelessly waiting for schools reopening to get innovative because their mental health is key and they can only take so much heartbreak
