Makerere University students didn’t really welcome the reopening of their university with the best jubilation but one thing for sure, majority students sigh in relief as its better than the months they spent home redundant. Majority students Campus Bee spoke to at Makerere are not really happy the university is open for normal studies but are glad that they will be able to tame their horn and get sorted in the shortest time possible.
A stroll at the notorious Lumumba Hall of residence, the residents were over the moon as they settled in their respective rooms and were glad that also the ladies were returning in large numbers.
“We have literally been “sexually starved” all this while the university was closed and we didn’t get to tap some all this while,” David a Lumumba resident confessed.
As if that’s not enough, the ladies too residing in hostels and hall are equally happy about the fact that the university was reopened and they felt it was like breaking their chains of boredom and freedom loose.
“On top of being able to escape the curfew at home, I can now ably go out and party with my friends and have a great time with my boyfriend too when I want,” Jackie a third year student and resident of Douglas Villa ululated.
The horn at Makerere halls of residence and hostels is way too much that noises could be loudly heard from the half-filled up hostels and halls as it was evident something was going down. Girlfriends welcomed back their boyfriends in style and vice versa.
