Kampala, Uganda – The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) is once again inviting aspiring accountants to apply for the 2024 ICPAU Scholarship Programme (SSP). Launched in 2019, this initiative has already supported fifty (50) deserving individuals on their path to becoming Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
About the Scholarship
The 2024 ICPAU Scholarship Programme aims to provide financial assistance to students keen on pursuing the esteemed CPA course. This opportunity is open to Bachelor’s Degree holders from any academic background, with qualifications from public or private chartered universities recognized by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree obtained in 2023.
- Attained either a First Class Honours or Second Class Honours – Upper Division grade.
Scholarship Details
The scholarship covers all ICPAU-related expenses, including registration, annual renewal, examination fees, and study materials. With 10 slots available, this year’s programme offers a chance for a select few to embark on their CPA journey with financial support.
Terms and Conditions
Successful applicants are expected to complete the CPA course within 2.5 years from the time of registration. The scholarship funds will not be utilized for re-sitting examination papers.

- A 300-word essay detailing their aspirations to become a professional accountant.
- Academic transcript.
