Job description
The Content Development and Management Associate will be responsible for managing and monitoring social media channels along with other digital mediums such as blogs, eNewsletters, etc. The candidate needs to be a little tech savvy, opinionated and express it through his/her descriptive writing skills. He/she will be frequently posting new content to the internet as needed. Duties may also include developing and/or revising text for other avenues, including online communities, press releases, web articles, vlogs, social media pages and alike. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to write professionally for varied audiences and consistently meet tight deadlines.
He/she will also be responsible for setting up social media accounts and maintaining daily activity. Will need to influence customer behavior across new media channels, analyzing client-initiated conversations and advise the rest of the team as needed.
Additional duties include developing content for posting on all designated social media outlets, monitoring online competitor presences, researching new blogs and channels for relevance/ trend identification.
The right candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, a creative bone and prior blogging/Internet writing experience (either personal or for business or both) is a plus. Prior experience in journalism or marketing communications is preferred.
The candidate who is offered this role shall need to work with our graphic design, motion graphic design and technical team closely.
Just to recap, the candidate should possess the following skills and other requirements:
- Completed or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications or a related field.
- Any experience in web related marketing and development is a plus.
- Should be able to showcase their prowess on their own personal social and digital media platforms/pages and any connection with reputable online communities is a plus.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Interested in research and reading skills.
- Multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fairly good knowledge of MS Office. Additional knowledge of Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc would be of benefit in this profession.
