The Ministry of Education and Sports has announced the availability of UK Commonwealth Scholarships for the academic year 2025/2026.
According to the notice shared, the scholarships are aimed at Ugandan scholars who wish to pursue PhD and Master’s degrees in various UK universities.
For the PhD level, there are 15 slots available in the priority fields of Health Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Computer Sciences, Climate Change, and Special Needs Education.
For the Master’s level, 20 slots are available in the priority fields of Health Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Computer Sciences, Climate Change, and International Relations.
Applicants are advised to visit the Ministry of Education and Sports website at www.education.go.ug for detailed information on the advertisement, application procedure, and submission guidelines.
Important to note is that the deadline for receiving applications will be 2nd September, 2024.
A shortlist of applicants will be displayed on the Ministry’s website on September 10, 2024 and the shortlisted candidates will be invited for face-to-face interviews at a later date.
