News coming in indicates dismay for the Juma Wasswa Balunywa (JWB), a strong contender for this year’s Guild presidential race at Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
Juma was initially listed amongst the last nominees to be vetted today by the electoral commission (EC), giving his supporters some hope.
However, a storm of uncertainty has erupted over Juma Wasswa Balunywa Junior’s eligibility to contest for the Guild President position. In a recent revelation by Campus Bee’s undercover investigation, sources within MUBS have confirmed that JWB received a retake in computing mathematics during his second year of study.
The MUBS Guild constitution clearly states that aspirants for the Guild President or Guild Parliament (GRC) positions must have maintained normal progress throughout all semesters and should not have received any retakes.
Despite this stringent requirement, Juma Wasswa Balunywa Junior has been vigorously campaigning for the presidency through various platforms including social media, on-campus events, and engagements at students’ halls of residence.
This development has stirred a wave of questions and concerns within the student body regarding the legitimacy of Juma Wasswa Balunywa Junior’s candidacy. The Dean of Students’ office, charged with overseeing guild activities, has promptly circulated guidelines for all candidates, stressing the importance of strict adherence to the rules and regulations.
More details to availed in the due course.
