Yesterday, the Kyambogo university Forum for Democratic Change nominations kicked off at the students center where several prospect candidates where expected to turn up for nominations.
By the break of the day only one candidate, Amanya German had showed up at the students center with a fleet if supporters throwing ulalations in the air causing a little people jam in the University.
Amanya German is a second year student offering a bachelor’s of accounting and finance, he is the current School of Management and Entrepreneurship Guild Representative Councilor and the Faculty President.
According the chapter president Ashaba Micheal, up to four candidates were expected to come through for nominations however it’s just one who turned up. The others sent in their apologies because they were still working on the requirements and were given up to today at 2pm to turn up at the students center for nominations.
The president Ashaba Michael also told this website that the ongoing nominations were expected to end today Wednesday the 7th of February and they will be followed by a debate on Friday the 9th and with primary elections on Monday the 12th of February.
The candidates that are to be nominated are expected to meet the requirements of membership to the university FDC chapter, be willing and able to subscribe to the chapter rules and regulations, be a full member of the University ,have a recommendable CGPA and have no retake. Among the other candidates expected to turn up today are; Senkungu Moses, Lubanga Nasif and wanyama Samuel.
