Godfrey Mutawo has denied allegations that he has withdrawn from contesting as the President of Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus Law Students Society (LSS).
Speaking in an interview with Campus Bee, Mutawo says people with evil plans had spread the false rumours.
“Cowards, I don’t know who authored the piece. I didn’t understand their agenda,” he says.
Mutawo told Campus Bee that he has a plan to win the elections and lead law students.
“It’s one man’s written literature. But I will handle this, I have a mathematical plan to win the election, ” Mutawo told Campus Bee.
Mutawo is competing against Tulyazalwa Mark, Odoi Henry and Magomu Ivan for the IUIU LSS top post. All the presidential candidates are third year students pursuing Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
The elections will be held virtually on Saturday, 23rd October, 2021 in the wake of COVID-19. This is the first time for IUIU LSS to hold virtual elections.
