The National Unity Platform (NUP) MUST chapter has set Monday 17th January 2022 as the date for voting the official flag bearer in the forthcoming Guild elections.
There are two candidates who have so far showed interest in using NUP ticket as their catalyst to take up the biggest students’ office at MUST. These are Mugyenyi Jastus Kizito, a fourth-year medical student pursuing Medical Laboratory Science and Mayira Stuart, a third-year medical student pursuing Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The official flag bearer, will be voted for by MUST NUP delegates who were selected from the faculties at MUST and from special interest groups such as people with disabilities.
Musiri David, the coordinator in charge of Education institutions at the NUP secretariat is expected to be present to witness the voting process on Monday.
The communication was revealed by the Chapter President Isooba Derrick Isaac and promised the MUST fraternity that the voting process will be free and fair
“After guidance from the national secretariat and engagements with the two aspiring candidates, we have decided to schedule the voting of the NUP flag bearer on Monday 17th January, 2022 starting at 8:00am in the cyclone square (behind gents’ flats). We call upon all the MUST fraternity to come and witness the process,” he revealed.
MUST students are set to vote for their next Guild leaders on the 21st January and 4th Feb for GRCs and Guild President respectively.
