Khaukha M.A Emmanuel has been elected as Victoria University’s eighth Guild President.
The 2025 Guild Presidential Elections saw Khaukha, a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree student, emerge victorious against fellow candidate Mugundho Robin Percy.
The margin was quite huge as the winner garnered over 2000 votes, compared to 814 votes for the runner up.
In a congratulatory message, Victoria University expressed confidence in Khaukha’s leadership capabilities, his dedication to student welfare and university development.
“This victory represents more than personal achievement,” stated university management in their official announcement. “It reflects a commitment to transformative leadership and student advocacy.”
The university also acknowledged runner-up Mugundho Robin Percy’s contribution to the democratic process, noting that competitive elections strengthen institutional governance.
As the newly elected Guild President, Khaukha will now succeed H.E. Emma Kintu, upon officially handing over instruments of power in the coming weeks.
On a light note, Khauka was recently featured on this publication in our weekly MCM episodes, highlighting his aspirations.
