Fashion entrepreneur Bryan Ahumuza, better known as Abryanz, has finally spoken out about the long-running rumours linking him romantically to media personality and socialite Sheilah Gashumba. And according to him, the speculation has been blown way out of proportion.
For years, Abryanz and Sheilah’s close friendship has kept gossip mills busy. Their public appearances, mutual support, and easy chemistry often had fans convinced there was more going on behind the scenes. Things only got louder after Sheilah’s breakup with singer Rickman, with whispers suggesting Abryanz could be the man who stepped in next.
But speaking shortly after the recently concluded Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards, the stylist decided it was time to shut the rumours down.
Asked why Sheilah was noticeably absent from his flagship fashion event, Abryanz explained that not all his friends were able to attend. He added that Sheilah is currently in Rwanda, brushing off any suggestion that her absence meant something more.
When the conversation turned to their alleged romance, Abryanz did not mince his words.
“Sheilah is not my type, and I’m definitely not her type,” he said, making it clear that there has never been anything romantic between them.
The fashion mogul went on to stress that their relationship has always been purely platonic, rooted in years of friendship and mutual respect. As for his own love life, Abryanz revealed that he prefers to keep that part of his life firmly out of the public eye.
He noted that he is comfortable being among the few public figures whose partner is not known to the media, choosing privacy over public scrutiny.
At the moment, both Abryanz and Sheilah Gashumba are publicly single, with neither having confirmed any new romantic relationships. While fans may continue to speculate, Abryanz’s message was clear. Friendship does not always mean romance.
