The latest info coming in indicates that Nigerian Singer Omah Lay has been arrested by Katwe Police in connection to a concert he performed from last night in Kampala. According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, Omah Lay has been arrested with Ivan Ddungu, the venue’s manager as well as event organizer and Manager, Prim Kasana.

Omah Lay has been trending since last night as Ugandan entertainers wonder how the police allowed the concert to happen yet they have been starving since March and cannot hold any shows in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Omah Lay, who was booked to perform in Kampala alongside fellow Nigeria songbird Tems is now in police custody for breaking COVID-19 guidelines.
