It was my first time to attend such an event in Uganda, a club under a tent, you can call it a dome. When I heard of #ClubDome, my imagination was short of what I actually experienced and saw last night, only one word is best fit for such an event, EPIC.
Imagine the party being brought to you, with beers at half price, games, awesome performances from the best people in the entertainment industry, great MCs, hilarious fellows, photo shoots, free wifi, a great DJ and bone shattering Music.
6pm, the party freaks started sneaking into the dome, buckets were purchased and the dance floor was rocked. 8pm, the dome was packed to the brim.
It all went down the Nkozi way, these Nkozi fellas know how to party, forget the Bossa Bash, this beat it pants down. Revelers from Kampala where also present, especially students from MUBs who claimed that they actually miss nothing that happens in Nkozi.
Do you remember this guy ‘Gift of Kado’, then Micheal Ross, with his one hit single, they too where there.
Ks Alpha, Vampino, Sheebah, these ones made the party catch fire, epic performances that left the guys and babes in the dome screaming and asking for more. When Maurice Kirya got onto the stage, I couldn’t even hear the voices in my head, students were screaming ‘Kirya’ and well, he didn’t disappoint. Apart from the fact that no one expected him(Kirya) to be present, everyone was happy he was.
“Amasanyalazze negagenda” Karama was there too and I bet the pairs in the corners prayed that Umeme could bless them with a power drift for a second.
Salvador Idringi from Laftaz was there, screaming and cracking jokes that made everyone laugh in their mother tongue, MC Kats yeah, Fille’s man couldn’t miss being there.
Now the Dj, people might like him for his name because of our roots but I like him because he turns the party switch higher, DJ Apeman, when he got to his booth, no one was left sitting, everyone got onto the dance floor and grooved to the tune of the Apeman.
It’s mouthwatering I know, but don’t get beaten up for missing the Nkozi do, Club Pilsener is bringing the party to the University near you, all you have to do is keep your ear to the ground and we shall ping you when the #ClubDome is in your area code. For imaginations’ sake, imagine a large smoke free tent(dome shaped) with plenty of cheap Club beer, great music, epic performances, the best MCs that can make your ribs crack, the best DJ, free wifi to update all your phone apps and Fifa rather games.
