Big Brother Hotshots ‘Loverman’, Idris from Tanzania was Sunday declared the winner of the grand prize of $300,000 after a period of
63 days of entertainment.
The Tanzanian beat off competition from Nigeria’s Tayo with whom he was with in the in the finals. But to many campusers and the house mates, Idris’s victory didn’t come as a surprise. It was predictable!
“Who do you think is winning the grand prize between Idris and Tayo?” Biggie presenter IK asked the other housemates who had made it to the final day.
“Idris!” they chorused shortly before the two were called on stage. Apparently it was the Tanzanian’s game in the house that made it
easier to predict the winner.
He was the most loved housemate among others and had a fling with almost all of the female housemates, earning himself the name Mr
‘Loverman’ from the show’s presenter, IK.
His closest was Uganda’s Ellah, who he flirted around with from the show’s beginning to two weeks to the end of the show, when he told her he didn’t love her but just liked her.
He moments later ran to Botswana’s Goitse and poured out his love for her.
Unfortunately, both the two ladies, who were known as Idris girls were evicted in the live show that followed.
On the contrary, Idris’ rival, Nigeria’s Tayo was one of the more controversial housemates, often engaged in war of words with his
fellow housemates and this must have cost him votes from other countries.
Meanwhile the show kicked with eight housemates — Sipe, Nhlanhla, Mackey 2, JJ, Idris, Mam’bea, Butterphly and Tayo — out of the
original 26.
They were evicted in this order: Butterphly and Mam’bea, JJ and Sipe, Nhlanhla and Macky2, leaving Idris and Tayo.
