Campusbee last week reported that Mary Luswata was given two body guards by Vision Group. Over the weekend, social media was [and is still] awash with rumours that the Urban TV Scoop on Scoop presenter was thumped by unknown assailants because of the hard jabs that she throws at our so-called celebs.
Even a national Newspaper [names withheld since we are not here to give free publicity] today, on their front page flagged a story of how the motor mouthed Luswata was beaten, without even consulting the ‘victim’ herself.
Below is a brief phone interview with Mary Luswata in regards to these rumours.
CB: Hi Mary Luswata!
ML: Yes. Hi!
CB: How are you?
ML: I am fine thank you, how are?
CB: I’m awesome. This is Emmy from Campusbee.
ML: Ohh Emmy Campusbee, so you’re the guy who wrote that I dropped out of campus?
CB: Ohh yes! Yeah right! But that is not why I called.
ML: Uh huh?! [sounds more relaxed]
CB: Regarding rumours making rounds on social media, tabloids and some newspapers, we hear you were beaten to coma. How true is this?
ML: [laughs] (you know that sarcastic, annoying laughter of hers that makes you want to bunch your screen? For a moment, I felt like hanging up on her!] Oh My god! Mary Luswata doesn’t clarify on rumours. I just let people be. This is like a movie, Uganda is a movie scene. Why would I want to interrupt someone’s movie? I gotta let it play. If that is what makes one sleep at night, let them write. [so you hurling mean insults at our celebs makes you sleep at night? #okbye]
CB: In plane black and white; were you thumped?!
ML: Look man, you watch my show today and judge for yourself. If you see any bruises, wounds or a single cut on my skin, then you can write your story. As long as I know I am healthy, I am so much alive, why care?!

ML: Thank you, you too. [She’s not as mean as many people think. I realized that behind that ruthless ploy character lays a simple, kind soul]
