Namirembe Cathedral parking lot turned to a display center for expensive rides after most of Kampala’s richest businessmen stormed the church for Ivan Ssemwanga’s requiem mass this morning.
The venue was flooded by very expensive cars with customized number plates and a few usual ones but every vehicle spotted here was worth good millions of shillings.
Among the tycoons whose posh rides were spotted include Jack Pemba, Tycoon Lwasa, Roger Mugisha, and Bebe Cool’s hummer which looked very old compared to the sizzling new rides paraded by other city money makers.
There were also other expensive rides whose owners haven’t been revealed but we can confidently promise you that they are not broke.
Among these and many other expensive rides were also spotted at Entebbe airport yesterday when these tycoons had pitched camp waiting for Ivan Ssemwanga’s body to arrive from South Africa. This is the same kind of mourners expected to attend Ssemwanga’s final sendoff tomorrow when he is finally laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kayunga.
