The lyrically and vocally stunning female music trio Warafiki has been nominated in two categories for the 2024 HiPipo Music Awards.
The trio have been nominated for the video of the year category for their Tetubafanana video. They are battling with Irene Namatovu’s Shika, Ku Kiddo by John Blaq, Navio’s Mad Infinity, Sheeba’s Wakikuba, Spice Diana and Anko Ronie’s Forever.
The second nomination is Breakthrough Artist category where they are competing Aaronx, Elijah Kitaka, Fikie Gaza, Pretty Banks, Jamie Ategeka, Bridgette Mars and Spyda Mc.
The Warafiki girls are the members of the Ugandan all-girl band Warafiki, which consists of Tori (Victoria Nalugwa), Eyla (Damalie Nalugwa) and Treezy (Patricia Debra Nakalembe)
The trio have been friends for seven years and bonded over their shared love of music. They are known for their energetic live performances and their debut single, “Bwekati”.
The HiPipo 2024 awards will be presented to the winners on November 15, 2024 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
