Renowned South African music duo, Mafikizolo and Nigerian top artist, Ice Prince are expected in Kampala on Thursday ahead of the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards that will be held on Friday at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Mafikizolo and Ice Prince are the headlining music acts expected to perform at the awards.
Ice Prince, is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist and actor. He rose to fame after releasing “Oleku”, one of Nigeria’s most remixed songs of all time.
The music line-up also includes performances by Ugandan artists including Sheebah Karungyi, Nutty Neithan, Gravity, Desire Luzinda, Fik Fameika, Latinum and Hellen Lukoma.
This year’s awards feature inclusion of a unique Bell Jamz music experience.
Compared to last year’s music line-up which featured only 3 artists, this edition features performances by over 10 artists.
Organizers are working with renowned designer, David Tlale to produce and pull off the fusion of music and fashion. Last week, they revealed plans to have professional choreographed rehearsals with artistes to ensure success on D-day.
The ASFA’s were introduced to recognize the talent and efforts of the best designers and stylists in the world of fashion in Africa. Previous editions have been hosted with a lot of glitz and glamor attracting Africa’s top A-list celebrities and fashion enthusiasts.
Courtesy of Bell Lager, selected Mafikizolo fans will also get the opportunity to meet and interact with their favorite artists backstage.
Tickets to the awards are going for 100k and 5 million for tables.
