Makerere University teargas arena (Sports Grounds) was filled beyond capacity as Maverick and Kirk Franklin brought praise to Uganda in the Kingdom Tour concert.
Gospel music lovers crowded Makerere University on Saturday to witness the first-ever Kingdom tour concert in Uganda. The event was highly graced by worshipers and music lovers, and recorded a huge success. The event brought together both ‘luxury and cheap’.
The event had a magnificent stage that awed most attendees thanks to Fenon events. Besides the stage, the lighting, sound and graphics also added beauty to the event.
At 8pm Maverick City collective including Naomi Raine and Chandler Moore took to the stage and they delivered quite a memorable performance that included singing and ministering. Among the songs they did include Million Little Miracles, Man Of Your Word, Come Rest On Us, Jireh, I Thank God, More Than Able and For My Good among others. Leaving the fans yearning for more.
Kirk Franklin stepped in after Maverick to deliver his second Ugandan performance. He performed some of his best songs like Bless Me, Ok, Smile and Stomp. Other performances came from Nigerian gospel hit maker Tim Godfrey as well as Uganda’s John Marie and Sam Kimera who brought the Uganda gospel feeling to the event.
