Many Ugandans have this distorted perspective about musicians and those youth who want to venture into singing. “Singing and music is for the mentally weak and socially banished humans.” But many Ugandan musicians have of recent proved this whole notion wrong by graduating with flying colors despite the negative criticism from the public.
Today Maro the “Mubi bubi” singer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in developmental studies at Makerere University during the 65th graduation ceremony that took place on Wednesday.
Ronald Magada [singer’s real names] all attired in the prestigious gown enjoyed this happy moment of his life with friends and family. However, Maro had earlier dropped out of campus to pursue his musical career. He picked up from where he stopped and now here he is. Maro is a graduate!
