When you talk about K.I.U talent, most of our minds will run to football and Basketball. We always forget one thing, Music!. The weasel version from KIU Samuel Muhimba, a first year Mass Communication student is one of the characters upholding this talent. Inspired by Dr.Jose Chameleone, he always dreamt of being at the top of the music game one day. We caught up with him in an exclusive interview about his career and this is what he had to say……..

I am good and the going here is pretty cool….everything’s super cool.

My first song was a cover of Flavour’s song Baby which I did as a collabo with my friend Demo Riley who’s at MAK. My very first single was a love song tittled “Nonze gwe”
How was its reception?
It wasn’t so bad. It received some pretty fair air play on most stations and that was a go ahead for me.
In the music world, what have you worked on so far?
I’ve worked on a couple or more collabos and currently, I’m working on my very first album
Who is your role model?
locally, it’s chameleon and internationally, it’s Usher Raymond. I really love the hard work and courage they put into their music
If you had a chance to do a collabo with any artiste, who would it be?
(SCRATCHES HIS HEAD AND THINKS FOR A WHILE) I think Ray Signature or Allan Toniks because I am so in love with their good music and sharing a mic with them would be a big opportunity for me.
What’s the best thing that has happened to you so far since you started your career?
I have met big people, made a lot of friends and I have even gained exposure to the world.
What’s your most embarrassing musical moment?
You know when you are an upcoming artiste, you have to introduce DJS, Clubs, Radio and TV stations. There was a moment when I took my music to some station, they promised to play it but didnt i realy felt bad.

By the way as an upcoming celebrity do you not have a girlfriend or ‘bae’ as they call them now days?
Actually I am single (shys away)
Ever had a crush on someone? a fan of yours maybe?

Which project are you working on now and what should your fans expect?
I am working on a song with Andy Music of Buddies and for my fans expectation, I am planning to release more music, more videos and of course working with more big artistes, big names in the industry and so my fans should expect much from me. They should support me.
If anyone wants to get your music, work with you or promote you where can they find you?
They can get my videos on youtube @Demo and Frencha, I am also uploading some audios on MP3 Jaja @frencha and also on Reverbnation which is the commonest. They can get me on Facebook @Samuel Frencha (starts singing “before the night is over….” he really has too much love for music)
