In a shocking turn of events, singer Leila Kayondo who on Thursday night posted on Instagram and Facebook a message calling out the Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura to come to her rescue after her boyfriend, SK Mbuga, allegedly assaulted her has said she never posted that message on social media.
Yesterday, Mbuga insisted that he found Leila cheating on him with a Congolese soldier after he [Mbuga] had given her shs10m for her birthday party.
The Director Interpol and International Relations in Uganda AIGP Asan Kasingye, through his Twitter account has revealed that Leila denied posting such a message on her Facebook timeline and that her sister did. See his tweets below;
The Instagram post and Facebook page have since been deleted 48 hours later. Mr. Kasingye believes that this was a publicity stunt played by the singer at the expense of the Uganda Police’s image. Highly placed sources in Kabalagala Police station was SK Mubga is detained tip Campusbee that Leila was found hanging out with Mbuga when police had gone to effect the arrest and that she [Leila] slept outside the cells as her better half was locked behind bars.

I forgave Sk Mbuga and we went to Kabalagala police station to dissolve the issue and dismiss the case but unfortunately he was detained. Whether police will move in to arrest Leila for duping them or nuh is a story for another day. We shall keep you posted.
