Mary Luswata has come out to refute media reports that indicated that her Scoop on Scoop show that airs on Urban TV was banned by the Uganda Communications Committee (UCC) for vulgarity. Speaking to Campusbee, Luswata declined to reveal whether her show was under scrutiny by UCC or not. “I hosted my show yesterday, when the rumours started spreading and today too, my show was never banned. I am still doing what I do best,” the short presenter, who most university students believe can walk under a bed on high heels said.
However, sources in Urban TV revealed that Luswata and her producer was summoned by UCC to tone down on the profanities used in the show. “They negotiated and were pardoned but were given a serious warning about the use of strong language on the show,” a source told the buzzing Bee.
Seems the celebrations have been cut short!
