With just three days to the Ne-Yo concert in Kampala, preparations are in high gear. The stage set up is currently going on at the concert venue as is ticket redemption at the Game Lugogo parking lot.
Other areas that are in the Ne-Yo mood are ticket points of sale such as Nakumatt Oasis, Oryx Fuel Station Lugogo, Ham Towers Makerere, Capital Shoppers Ntinda. The tickets can also be purchased on the Tikiti App with the ordinary ones being sold at UGX60,000 and the VIP ones retailing at UGX120,000.
At the Game Parking lot where winners of the Bell Pop’n Jam promotion are redeeming their tickets to the concert, an average of 350 tickets are given out per hour. As the rush for the tickets continues, organizers have advised people wishing to redeem or purchase the tickets early to avoid last minute dashes. Ticket redemption as well as the sale of tickets will go on till the concert date (Friday October 30, 2015).
Robert Nsibirwa, the Bell Lager Manager in an earlier communication stated that everything needed to make the concert a success has been secured.
“Everything that Ne-Yo’steam requested for has been gotten. At the moment, we are only awaiting his (Ne-Yo’s) arrival. Security at the event is going to be high as is everything else during the event. This concert is surely going to be one of the best shows Uganda has ever seen,” he said.
Ne-Yo will be staying at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel with his entire 30-man team. The team arrives on Wednesday night while Ne-Yo will be jetting into the country on Thursday. The team includes dancers, backup singers, technicians as well his security detail.
The Bell Pop’n Jam concert is a celebration of Bell Lager’s National Consumer Promotion that has so far seen thousands of Ugandans win customized goodies like headsets, powerbanks, t-shirts among others.
