KAMPALA MAYOR hopeful Dan Kyeyune Kazibwe, alias Ragga Dee is continues to excite Kampala people ahead of elections. The singer was on Saturday joined by President Yoweri Museveni as he campaigned in Rubaga.
The contemporary dancehall artiste is contesting for the Kampala mayoral position on the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket.
Time and again the singer has rallied Kampala voters and fellow artistes to support his bid for mayorship, saying he wants transform the city to a level of other developed cities he has visited before.
And many look at him as the suitable candidate to take over since he understands the city and the common man. However, the singer is under pressure to cut off his 20 year old dreadlocks.
For years the veteran singing star has always maintained a dreadlocked look which has become a trademark of sorts.
But because of his interest of serving Kampalans, Ragga Dee, who has an MBA, has revealed it’s time to cut off the dreads to look a more serious person and leader.
Ragga Dee, who doubles as a businessman, has also promised to promote Ugandan music. Recognised as one of the pioneers of contemporary Ugandan music, Ragga Dee was born in 1973 to George William Kyeyune. From a young age the singer has always been a leader.
