The Soul on Strings edition of the Bell Lager sponsored Roast and Rhyme reinforced the picnic DNA of the experience, encompassing spectacular live music performances, roasting meat, lawn chairs, mats and ultimate enjoyments with the new zesty Bell Citrus by the scenic lakeside.
Popular as a reggae music experience, the last edition of Roast and Rhyme this year rather delivered impassioned music performances headlined by the legendary Irene Namubiru, Zulitums, Anknown, and soetry pieces from Kabera Angel.
Highlighting the experience was the much-anticipated performance from the elegant Begombeko star, Irene Namubiru who graced revellers with a worthwhile performance to her timeless hits like Essimu y’ekiro, Simbalala, Empissa zo zikyuseko and more that evoked high sentiments amongst all.
The now Germany-based singer Maro also appeared on Ugandan stage after 4 years with Mubbi Bubbi, Kyokoba, Anjagala to mention but a few!
Speaking at the experience, Lillian Kansiime the Bell Lager Brand Manager emphasized the brand’s commitment to letting the good times flow with the new zesty Bell Citrus.
“Once again, we have onboarded Bell Citrus to elevate the consumer experience at Roast and Rhyme with a new twist to enjoyments in a colourful, refreshing and playful manner”, she added.
The sundowner experience kicked off with exciting games that ushered in the Double Black takeover, DJ mash ups by Lynda Ddane and Melvyn DJ with an unexpected gospel onset to some old skool RnB, a twist of timeless Ugandan pieces and afrobeats.
A green-themed Bell Citrus experience adjacent to the stage engaged many in board games, ball games and attractive offers on Bell Citrus that had many camping at the zesty arena throughout the picnic show.
Sceptics did think twice but believers definitely had the time of their lives at the Soul on strings edition of Roast and Rhyme.
