Former NTV Presenter and young socialite, Sheila Gashumba has lifted the lid on how the biggest TV station in Uganda, NTV pays its presenters peanuts for donkey work.
“If only TV could pay more than the energy Presenters put in!! Lol!! We would be soooo rich!!! Lol!! Do research, do maths!! Add up!! I respect y’all but the money has to add up to the fame!!! PERIODT,” the Lil Stunner tweeted.
Sheila went a head to expose the meagre pay of the AgaKhan owned TV station; “50,000ugshs per show that’s 1,000,000ugshs a month ( 5 days a week) !! Lol JOKERS!!Some stations should be ashamed of themselves!! Come on!Why pay too little for the talent you front!! I used to get paid more when I was on Tnation than when I was on THE Beat!! Fame doesn’t pay your bills but money does!!”
This comes in the wake of TV stations having presenters entertain viewers during lockdown from 10pm till 6am (8 hours) only to be given a mere transport refund.

I’m soo proud of the TV PRESENTERS in the industry but y’all know you deserve more!! You know it deep down!! I have soo much respect for y’all and you know that because I know what it means to chase a dream but you need to be paid your worth!!
And please don’t message me to remove the tweets!! I’m telling the truth!! The presenters know!! The production managers know and the head of the TVs know!! I don’t want a job on tv but I want the entertainment industry to be valued as much as it should be!!
