Sheebah-Spice Diana: Instagram Following Becomes New Battle Ground

Excellence in the Ugandan Music Industry is never guaranteed unless one employs special ploys; the most cheeky one being popularity – whether cheap or hard earned.

There has been tension between team Sheebah Karungi and Makerere University Alumnus Spice Diana after the latter claimed that Sheebah’s fans keep attacking her on social media.

That battle was further taken to numbers when Sheebah took to social media and boasted of being the first female musician to have 1 million followers on Instagram.

“Let’s toast to 1 million Sheebaholics on Instagram. 1st female artiste in Uganda to make 1m on Instagram. Am truly grateful for my journey! Thank you, my lovers, let’s keep breaking records. Queen!” Sheebah’s caption read.

But those celebrations didn’t last long as Spice Diana took over as the leading female musician with 6000 followers more than Sheebah’s.

The ‘Kokonya’ artiste has 1,077,373 followers on Instagram while Sheebah is now in second place with a little over 1,071,293 followers.
