Singer Iryn Namubiru went solo again this year after the collapse of
Fusion Band, a band that he had been singing with for quite some time.
The ‘Nkuweki’ singer went ahead to produce an album but barely any of
the songs on it is known by the campus fraternity or even the general public.
However, upon realising that she may soon become history in Uganda’s
music industry, Iryn ran to Johnson Mujungu, comedian Anne Kansiime
and Patrick Salvador’s manager so as to save her fading career.
An excited Iryn broke the good news to her fans on Tuesday.
“I have today signed with Grajoh Talent Management who will from now
on manage my music and business career. I will henceforth be under the
direct management of Johnson Mujungu.”
Mujungu is credited for having turned both Anne Kansiime and Salvador
into continental superstars.
“I am so thankful to you all for your love and support through out my
career for I have come this far and will go further because of you and
the Lords Grace!” Iryn further says.
This is perhaps good news to her fans who have taken awhile without
seeing her perform.
It should not be forgotten that the singer flew to France shortly
after things failed to workout here. She is still staying in France.
