After a long week of voting for different contestants, NTV Uganda has finally declared Uganda Christian University’s Tracy Kabito as the new host of the music show.
Kabito who is a second-year student of Mass communication beat several other contestants to join Sheila Gashumba as co-host:
Her teaser video reflecting how she would host the Beat show pushed her to heights after it went viral on social media
The slim chocolate UCU queen will host the show alongside Dagy Nyce. This was revealed last evening during the #NTVTheBeatMic show where the two emerged winners with the highest number of votes compared to other contestants. The show that airs every weekday from 5pm to 6pm features several interviews and is primarily a music show rated among the best in Uganda.
NTV the Beat show lost ratings after its long-time host Douglas Lwanga quit the Serena hotel-based television station and headed to NBSTV. After weeks of the show being hosted by renown fashionista Sheila Gashumba, NTV took to the public in search for a new host to replace Douglas.
Tracy Kabito is also a fashionista who has been gracing several fashion shows in town. She has also been a radio presenter on 106.1 FM in Kampala. Congs girl!
