Uganda will become the first country in East Africa and second in Africa to host the Rockfest, arguably the biggest gospel festival in Africa. The festival will be held at Hockey Grounds on Friday, November 8, 2024.
The festival, organized by Spirit Media, will see Ugandan gospel stars share the same stage with some of Africa’s biggest musicians in a night of celebration and praise. Artists include Ada Ehi, Judi Kay, Frank Edwards, John Marie, Dj Horphuray, Jah Lead Music and Gabie Ntaate.
Speaking at a press conference held on Wednesday at Media Plaza, the proprietor Ehi Moses said Uganda was the only country ready to host the festival.
“There are many countries that wanted this event to be staged but among them, Uganda was the ready one,” said Moses.
His wife who also happens to be the lead act Ada Ehi said that this is going to be the fourth edition of the show with three previous editions held in Nigeria.
“Thank you for making it a reality. You are going to experience fire on stage. All the artistes both international and local are loaded and can even give you three hours on that stage. I am wondering how we are going to compress these hours,” Ada Ehi said.
Rock Fest is a global Christian festival experience featuring music, arts, entertainment, trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences. It is a perfect atmosphere for hundreds of thousands of people together in one accord to celebrate, praise and worship God with unfettered expressions. The event was started by both Ada Ehi and her husband Moses Ehi.
