The spirit of Uganda since 1965, last week celebrated the momentous milestone, 50 Years of existence, promising 50 more years of quality and bringing Ugandans together in celebration.

Uganda Waragi, the number one premium Ugandan Gin has been in the market for 50 years.

To mark the celebration, Uganda Waragi is now in a new bottle and Uganda Breweries is happy to welcome all Ugandans to the party!

“Uganda Waragi is undoubtedly one of our countries proudest treasures and stands today, 50 years strong being the most respected spirit in Uganda. This does not happen very often for our local brands, and we have therefore chosen to use this celebration to reaffirm the brand’s stature with a stunning, iconic and world class new bottle” said Grace Nshemeire-Gwaku, Marketing and Innovations Director at Uganda Breweries.

Gwaku further said that the new look is the culmination of months of research, hard work and collaboration with the world’s best design agencies and a very talented local brand team that worked to create a bottle that will be appreciated by Uganda Waragi consumers new and old and allow for Uganda Waragi to proudly sit on shelf amongst the world’s most celebrated spirits.

“Consumers for a long time have said to us, they love Uganda Waragi, it has been part of their lives for a very long time, and it needs to continue to be relevant now. With so many new spirit brands on the market, it is important that as market leaders, we pioneer into new territories, renovate, innovate and lead from the front. The recently launched Uganda WaragiFlavors (Coconut and Coffee) are another example of this,” she said.
