23 year old Jackie Akot Abalo is a fourth year student at Makerere University’s School of Law. The first runner up of Miss Tourism Northern Uganda is currently engaged in a finalists’ battle with other beauty queens from across the country.
According to our sources, this natural beauty doesn’t only see the law but has got an eye for fashion. She runs a fashion label called Orudi Couture which deals in African clothes. She is that passionate about her culture, tradition and heritage.
She holds a diploma in law from the Law Development Center and her life was almost centered around the law and legal practice until her cultural identity kicked in. She went back home and participate in the regional beauty contests and everything, as they say, just played in until this stage.
There will be preliminary eliminations in the contest in Gulu this weekend and to vote her one need to log into Facebook and visit the official Miss Tourism Uganda page (@misstourismUga), like her photo and comment with the hashtags #MissTourismUg19 and #AkotJackieAbalo to enable her chances at reaching the crown.
