How to rock in a Chiffon: Too much colour will make you look like a clown

Chiffon is defiantly back in the trending circles and everyone has got to grab themselves a piece for their closet. These sheer tantalizing materials can be worn at any occasion, and it gives room for the badly needed aeration this season. But just like any other fashion trend, people have already found away to infringe its system.

How much we show: We have established the fact it is a sheer material then why do you go ahead and put it on unaccompanied. For a society that coughed out the anti pornography bill, we should do better than putting on a see through with nothing underneath it. You look naked. Unless you are just trying to show your bra, because if that’s the purpose, why wear a top at all? Nobody wants to see your brand-new animal print bra and defiantly not your skin either. Unless you are excessively confident or you are trying to make a statement, save yourself the awkward looks and avoid displaying your delicates, grab your self a tank top and layer it up. And whatever you do, for the love of God, don’t go braless. We get it a Kardashian can pull that off, but not you, at worst not in Uganda.

The colours: Women are flowers, and they love to decorate themselves as much as the body can allow. But even flowers have coordinated looks. You can not blend an orange chiffon top with an army green tank top. No! The orange will not blend and Hell no! That is nothing like colour blocking, Stop lying to the world. Too much colour will make you look like a clown. Simply get a neutral colour like black or a similar colour. The overall look of chiffon is that of simplicity and elegance. Unless you prefer otherwise, you should keep it this way.

Less is better: We understand jewellery enhances the look but not all the time especially if it is excessive. You will give the impression of being a moving jewellery box with the wrong background. An over loaded neck with accessories will make you look tacky and obnoxious. Chiffon is a simple elegant cloth, therefore treat it so. Minimise on the jewellery, it will kill the vibe. Elegance is never about being too overdressed. Sometimes, it’s just about being simple.

So, let’s try to wear this trend without getting arrested. Honestly, just use common sense. If you do not enjoying seeing other peoples under garments then do not do it. It is a lovely material just avoid violating it.
