As rainy days take over the once scorching sunshine, campusers who love to keep it classy are in a roller coaster of struggle in their bid to keep it legit. While some have gotten it right, others seem to get it all wrong. The bee is here to guide you on how to keep it on point this rainy season.
Colour
This might look controversial but trust me you, rocking a rainy day with bright colours is the way to go. Naturally, our moods usually sink on rainy days. Liven up your day with say; a colourful umbrella or raincoat. You will be surprised what fun a little colour can inspire.
Foot wear
Boots are a go-for in this weather. Boots help to keep you warm and protect you from unnecessary dirt. High heeled boots will prove to be a disaster. Kip those for your partying days. A low boot will be better, more preferably with leather or rubber coating since they are less likely to suffer water damage. Materials like suede will suffer damage so they are better left in the closet for now.
A water proof outwear is a must.
Rainy days tend to be distressing and sodding in wetness certainly won’t help. Please carry a rain coat or an umbrella to keep you dry. Take care that your outer wear does not look clumsy to spoil your look. A nicely fitting trench coat will make your day.
Size of the outfit
This is probably the most violated fashion trend on rainy days. People tend to think it is an excuse to put on dull coloured extra-large ugly clothes, making the day look even more distressing. Please and please, know that putting on heavy clothes from inside to out leaves you looking clumsy like packed potatoes. A light inner clothe covered with a heavy coat will instead do the magic for you. Thank you
Tame your hair
Most ladies usually love free hair styles but to kip it neat and tamed on a rainy day, tying your hair back or braiding it is the thing for you. Rainy days are usually windy and you don’t want your hair blowing in the east, west, north and only God knows where else.
Make-up
Keep your make-up light on a rainy day. There are many chances it will wear off with the rain leaving you messy. Skip make-up if you feel comfortable with it or apply light make up. Ofourse there is the other option of using water proof make-up – if you can afford it.
Only hoping you have brighter rainy days as the bee buzzes around to bring you more tips on how to keep rockin’ at campus.
