When this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda was launched on March 13th at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, the organisers stated September 13th as the day of the grand finale that will happen at Kampala Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall.
After the launch the team has been visiting different areas where regional searches are ongoing and few regions already know their national representatives and others are yet to be crowned.
Last weekend, the search was in Busia at Victoria Beach and the girls were crowned to represent Miss Tourism Eastern Region. The three beauty Queens included Rebecca Nabirye the Miss Tourism Eastern, Maria Celestine Nabonyo as the 1st runner up and the 2nd runner up being Deborah Wayabire.
This weekend, the pageant will happen in Kigezi region at Immaculate Heart Girls School. The judges will be ready to take on the girls in different sessions to see who is fit to represent their region at the grand finale in September.
The Prizes for this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda will include a brand new car among others and the overall winner will go on to represent Uganda at International level.
