Graduation is here again and every successful queen wants…no, derserves that elegant and yet chic dress. The big question however is; should I go short or long? What dress is appropriate for this type of event? Campus bee has you covered.
The short dress
Many people consider the short dress inappropriate owing to the fact that as much as the occasion has a lot of age mates, it has many old people as well. However, as long as you know what to select and how, a short dress is just as good as the long one. This however gives rise to yet another question; What is more appropriate? A long sophisticated gown or a short stylish dress?
Before choosing which dress is better, find out a few concepts about your event. Are there any etiquette standards to follow that should influence your dress code? What is the venue of the event? Do you have a theme or dress code?
If you have an outside event, a short dress will be more suitable for comfort and to avoid spoiling your dress b y wiping the ground with it. However, if the event has a dress code or is in a luxuriant hotel or restaurant, a long dress will be much more suitable.
Nonetheless, short dresses are much more versatile. They give you a fresh modern look and with the right accessories, you can achieve a fun and yet sophisticated look. If you have those to die for shoes that you want people to get a glimpse of, then short is definitely the way to go.
The long dress
As much as short dresses are more versatile, long dresses are not to be undermined. A long dress will always look graceful and elegant. They also make one look taller and slimmer. In addition, a long dress hardly gets out of fashion and can be won on many other events a long time after the graduation.
So what should you choose? It is a matter of opinion and preference.
