The fashion industry in Uganda has grown over the years, and today, it is flourishing like never before. Owing to the Ugandan culture and several other platforms, the industry has become a force to reckon with. No wonder several men and women have become style icons in this African nation. While you have more people playing online games with a bet9ja promotion code, it is not just the tech world that has changed. The fashion industry has gone in for a change too.

In this article, I will present the names of several fashionistas who have stolen the limelight. This list includes some emerging youngsters too.

Rapael Kasule

Raphael Kasule’s journey into the fashion world began at the age of 13 when his mother’s sewing machine piqued his imagination. Today he is the proud owner of the fashion brand K-Rafael Couture. Raphael’s feather on the cap was his design for the official ceremonial wear for the Ugandan Olympic team in the 2016 Rio Olympics. This design was received with tremendous cheer. Raphael dreams of opening outlets all over Uganda, thereby creating employment opportunities for the poor.

Sylvia Owori

Sylvia Owori is the chairperson of the Zipa Modelling Agency. She feels that fashion is related to a person’s identity. She is of the opinion that the world gets to know a person by his/her choice of clothes. She looks at fashion as a human being’s way of communicating with the world.
