The just concluded year was a fashion studded one. It saw the rise of the Posh by Kc fashion show, the now annual Abryanz fashion awards, Kampala fashion week, The Genesis fashion show among others. And of course what’s a fashion show without the models, designers and fashion collectors. Well today, we bring to you the Campusers’ favorite fashion collectors or better yet fashion power houses 2014.
1. Posh By KC
This, according to the fashion forward youth of Uganda is the biggest fashion power house in our native Uganda. More than enough girls played hunger games so as to save up and buy a dress or at least a pair of boots from here. Many young broke lads’ hearts were broken as they were dumped and rich old uncles found who could finance their shopping from here. The vintage store is owned by none other than Kc Cassie. Her works are evidently seen on “Uganda’s sweetheart” Sheilah Carol Gashumba who is her lil stunner like she likes to refer to her. The vintage store is located at Kingsgate mall in Kabalagala and recently due to the heavy wallet, she further spread her wings and a new branch was opened up at Park Royal shopping centre, just opposite Watoto Central. Should say 2014 was surely her year. Kudos Cassie and have a better 2015!
2 . Abryanz
Such a bomber it comes in at number two, but well, the campus lads and ladies have spoken! The brains behind this powerful store is Ahumuza Brian, also referred to as the biggest game changer in the fashion industry of Uganda. The store is a favorite of Uganda’s classy elegant men. The country’s top male personalities are seen exiting the store. The likes of Meddie Ssentongo, Douglas Lwanga of ntv’s the beat to mention but a few. It’s through this power house that the nation now boasts of a mega annual event dubbed as the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs). It’s located at Prime complex and the newer branch at Garden City.
3. House Of Lukoma
Female fashion lovers are definitely obsessed with the works of this power house. Besides the fact that the beauty, Helen Lukoma, behind this store has always charmed her followers since the days of Obsessions, then HB toxic, the Hostel and now Beneath the lies, her fashion sense has always left many campus girls in awe. She is a role model to many.. Yes, they did admit that bit too! because of her fashion sense and go-getter spirit! “No matter the look, she always gets it right.” Not forgetting the designs she showcased at her fashion show at venom beach bar. They were beyond amazing. It’s no wonder that it was a complete success. In summary, you all ought to visit House of Lukoma, located at Mabirizi plaza.
